Day Forty Seven. 13.6 Miles, 21.9 Kilometers
Written on June 5, 2012.
We all seem to be leaving around the same time: 6:30 a.m. It is good to walk three or four hours before it starts to get hot.
Just after crossing the bridge, leaving Puente La Reina I looked around just in time to see a reflection of the town in the still river water.
Puente La Reina.
Approaching Cirauqui is a beautiful sight. When Vern saw it he said that it looked like the Emerald City.
Cirauqui.
We took a break in Cirauqui to have a snack and visit with orher Pilgrims. On the way out of the village I noticed that a Pilgrim had stepped off the Camino to take a picture. I was curious and walked over to where he was standing. I could not believe what I was seeing:
The world made out of carefully placed tires!
Wow! These are amazing photos.
