Becoming Pilgrims

Somewhere just after Zubiri Kathy and Bob continued along the Camino to be back home in time to greet their new grandson. It was great to keep up on their progress through emails along the way.

As we continued along our way we were getting acquainted with our surroundings: Roman stone bridges, walls, forests, and and the classic castle ruins.

Vern and I walked for 44 days for a total of 560 miles. The experience of nature, history, deep connections with others on the path and the love of walking has all contributed to the planning and preparation for the longer Camino journey of this year.

  1. You are both amazing. At least we can be with you via the web. Have a wonderful, healthy and of course a happy trip. You will be in our thoughts and look forward to viewing your posts. XO BNB

  2. You’ve been on my mind such a lot lately. I know you’re leaving tomorrow and Del Norte County will be lessened by your absence. Have a ball! Gather memories, make friends, take very good care of the feet. See you when you get back.
